Why us

Family Atmosphere

Newcomers are warmly welcomed into the PPA Family. We are fortunate enough to have our own purpose built studios and therefore our own home. As well as two fully equipped studios, one drama room, two changing rooms, an office and a parent's lobby. We also have a common room, where all the students can get together and have fun together in between, before and after classes.

Frequent shows

At PPA we a frequent number of full scale productions each year (between 3 and 5) as well as many small scale in house presentations. These are very varied opportunities. These include full scale open air Shakespeare plays, modern musicals, junior productions and dance productions. We also run regular Easter and Summer Schools ("Show In A Week") in which the students rehearse and then perform a full scale show in just 7 days! There is something for everyone.

See our SHOWS page for more details.

In your Twenties or older?

Students of all ages are welcomed at PPA. There are classes for those from age 4 and upwards as well as classes for those in their 20's and at the University or College. For example, if you reached a high level of dance, then had to drop classes to study and want to take it up again, PPA is the place for you. We have many University and College Students and young working adults in our Advanced Ballet, Modern Tap, Hip Hop and Contemporary Classes. We even have separate beginner adult classes for Ballet and Street Dance and an advanced adult tap class.

You are never too old to start

Most people think you have to start dance at a young age, but not everyone is given that opportunity. Here at PPA, you can start at any age! Teenagers that have never danced before are welcome to ourĀ  Beginner Ballet Class and Modern, Tap and Hip Hop Classes. We will help you to catch up with those your age who have been dancing for years!

Wide variety of styles

Here at PPA, we try to offer as many different current styles as possible. We offer classes in Tumbling, Acro, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Jazz Technique, Stretch and Conditioning, as well as the usual Ballet, Modern Tap, Singing and Drama.

International PPA Roadshow

Senior and Intermediate students have the opportunity to audition for our PPA Roadshow groups - a group of students that are invited to perform at both paid and charity events, gigs and private functions locally, as well as all over Europe, most recently- Borken (Germany) Dainville (France) Ricany, Prague (Czech Republic) Molndal (Sweden) and Albertslund (Denmark)

Workshops and Events

We often have guest teachers come to the studios and offer a workshop class for the students. Most recently, Nia Jermin came from Legally Blonde and spent an afternoon with them, teaching them the routines and scenes from the show. We also organise group discounted trips to see big dance show, musicals and plays at The Marlowe Theatre.

There's a lot more to PPA than meets the eye!
